Please move the slider up to accelerateWhen crossing a road, use the horn to get more exp.
You will gain experience when you drive within the speed limit.

When you stopped, use the door button to open the door.
Be sure to have a forward motion and don't forget to close the door.
Not following will cause a bug that will stuck your train, thus unable to finish.
Don't forget to use your horn when you cross a road to avoid experience deduction.
People vs Freight Mode
It is easier and faster to gain experience in freight mode because you only need to travel at the final destination without dealing the pesky bug I mention above. In people mode you should slowdown first before you can open the door while at the freight mode you just only need to slowdown.
